Acne &
Scar Treatment
Science-backed care for all scar types and approached with precision, patience, and full respect for Indian skin.
Overview
Understanding Acne Scars
Acne scar treatment depends on the type and depth of scarring. At ZARS, we evaluate your skin thoroughly before recommending any treatment and focusing on collagen remodeling, scar lifting, and improving overall texture and tone.
01
Atrophic Scars
Ice pick, boxcar, and rolling scars and depressed marks caused by loss of tissue.
02
Hypertrophic / Keloid
Raised, firm scars that form when excess collagen develops during healing.
03
Post-Inflammatory erythema
Red or pigmented marks (PIE/PIH) left after acne clears and common in Indian skin.
WHO IT SUITS
Is This Right for You?
This treatment is well-suited for patients with persistent acne scars, uneven skin texture, or post-acne marks (red or pigmented). It is customized for all skin types and with special care taken for Indian skin due to the higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
A note on Indian skin: Deeper skin tones require particular attention when treating scars. Our protocols are specifically adapted to minimize PIH risk while still achieving meaningful improvement in texture and tone.

FAQS
Common Questions
How many sessions are needed?
Typically 4–6 sessions are needed for visible improvement, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the concern being treated (acne scars, pigmentation, etc.).
Is microneedling painful?
Most patients experience only mild discomfort, as a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. It is usually described as a light vibrating or prickling sensation.
Can microneedling be combined with PRP?
Yes, microneedling is often combined with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) to enhance results. PRP helps boost collagen production, improve healing, and enhance overall skin texture.
